Just wondering of you have read any of these books?
I have the Donna Tart book but 700 pages!?!
Anyway I love suggestions on what to read so maybe I can try the first chapter.

None of them grabbed my attention, I’ll be honest.
Maybe if I had one in my hands at Exclusive I might feel differently?
But my list of “Still have to Read’ has remained largely untouched this year.
Need to peruse the shops more, perhaps?
Jul 31, 2014 @ 12:52:55
Yes it always helps if one can page through and see if it grabs you. With kindle you can download the first chapter free and it gives one an idea!

I should probably get a Kindle!
I really am an old fart when it comes to technology, taking an age to ‘convert’ ( I mean, what’s the matter with my Morris Minor with flick-out orange coloured indicators anyhow?) – but if ‘Ark History’ is anything to go by I will be an instant convert and never buy a paper book again!
Jul 31, 2014 @ 13:05:46
Think it is about one of the nicest gifts I ever had. And I converted within minutes. I have got rid of a massive a!ount of paper books which hopefully filled the coffers of the SPCA.
Jul 31, 2014 @ 13:09:45
I am really not averse to technology…not really. But I also like the books I have from a collector’s point of view.
Maybe that attitude would change as well?
Jul 31, 2014 @ 13:15:00
It does. The only books I now find hard to get rid of are text nooks but I realize that most of my text books are now out of date.
Jul 31, 2014 @ 13:25:30
Isn’t there a concern that the data my go for a burton if the Kindle breaks?
Is there any way to back up the data?
Jul 31, 2014 @ 13:30:56
Yes there is because you save all on your computer anyway. And in addition all my books are on drop box too. Belt and braces you know 🙂
Jul 31, 2014 @ 13:32:02
Drop box?
Jul 31, 2014 @ 13:42:44
Yes dropbox like cloud storage. Google it
Jul 31, 2014 @ 13:45:07
‘kay….
Jul 31, 2014 @ 13:46:02
Got it! Never seen this before.
Jul 31, 2014 @ 13:49:47
Very useful. I think you get even more space free of charge from Microsoft and google and you cannot lose it. If you wish you can share big files that are too big to mail.
Jul 31, 2014 @ 13:53:01
But can one backup/copy files from a Kindle onto a conventional external Hard-drive like the ones my kids have – a Toshiba I think?
Jul 31, 2014 @ 13:56:08
Oh yes! You connect your kindle to your computer and save all onto computer files and then back up as with all files.
Jul 31, 2014 @ 12:39:03
Thank you. Don’t know when I’ll have time for them, my list is SO LONG. Just finished the riveting book, DYSTOPIA by James Siddell. They call it the book James Frey wished he had written 🙂 (He ‘faked’ A MILLION PIECES)
Jul 31, 2014 @ 12:54:20
I have a very very long list too. I will keep Dystopia in mind. Thank you!
Jul 31, 2014 @ 22:36:22
I faithfully read all the blurbs – but their current taste does not, apparantly, coincide with mine.
Aug 01, 2014 @ 05:34:38
All I know is that Donna Tart (sp?) won some prize for this book and New York Times has it as one of their bestsellers and I thought I would probably enjoy Blood will Out.
Aug 01, 2014 @ 05:59:19
Ek het die Donna Tart boek gelees en niks daarvan gehou nie, sy skryf baie goed, Maar sy het elke liewe slegte ding wat bestaan in daardie boek ingewerk. Dis ‘n feel bad boek. (vir my)
Aug 01, 2014 @ 06:10:23
Dankie! Ek was nie seker of ek wel die boek gaan lees nie, as ek sien dis 700 blsdsye het ek klaar n probleem. En ek hou nie van feel bad goed nie. Iemand het vertel the divorce papers is glo leesbaar?
Aug 01, 2014 @ 07:12:06
The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry het ek rerig geniet, so ietsie anders…
Aug 01, 2014 @ 07:46:25
Dankie ek gaan hom soek. Ek het The Fault in our Stars van John Green baie geniet, dit was regtig goed geskryf. Die fliek volgens my mening kan mens maar skip.
Aug 01, 2014 @ 09:02:18
Sal rondkyk vir hom…
Aug 01, 2014 @ 07:45:10
I’ll never get to any of these. I got a library of hardbounds in the garage I gotta get through first. Starting with the HitchHikers guid to the galaxy. My wife’s been harassing me about that one since she got it for me.
Aug 01, 2014 @ 07:47:27
I have often heard about that one but never got around to it. Thanks
Aug 01, 2014 @ 07:50:18
YOU SEE? It’s not just me!
Aug 01, 2014 @ 14:26:37
Looks like quite a bit of reading that Fletch. I think I’ll stick to the few that I just can’t seem to finish. 😆 Have fun! 😀
Aug 01, 2014 @ 15:02:54
I don’t think I am going to read this list, except maybe for Blood will Out because it sound interesting, and if I don’t like I don’t have to finish it 🙂
Aug 22, 2014 @ 08:11:52
I’m hopeless with keeping up with books. There’s one on here that I would read if it came into my hands (i.e if I saw it on a library shelf) but my memory is rubbish. Can’t even remember the title-‘An Unreserved Woman’ maybe? 🙂
Aug 22, 2014 @ 10:00:42
I also have a poor memory for names of books. Sometimes I cannot even remember the name of a book I really enjoyed.Oh yes I liked the John Green book The Future in our Stars, it was superbly written. The movie I thought was errr… rubbish.
