DRAG IT BACK OVER AND YOU ARE BACK IN 1944 AGAIN.
And now I wonder what if…. with all new terrorism, will we be back to war again?
Dec 06, 2015 @ 11:53:21
How absolutely marvelous, Mel. Thank you for posting this.
Dec 06, 2015 @ 15:52:37

daar is mos die gesegde don’t argue with a fool they will beat you with experience
Dec 07, 2015 @ 10:04:34
Ha! Net so ja! 😆
Dec 06, 2015 @ 16:40:32
Oh Wow! This was so fascinating to see the great changes, as well as very moving to see those old war scenes. Thanks for sharing, Mel. 🙂
Dec 07, 2015 @ 05:45:40
When we visited Normandie it was impossible for me to visualize what it looked like during the war. And I suppose if I went TODAY I would be shocked to see how things are changing again with the refugees.:(
Dec 06, 2015 @ 16:59:07
They were great. It`s very strange that most places especially in the UK have not changed much over all those years. As for terrorism, that is a different type of war. when I was young in the UK we had the IRA but our parents didn`t lock us away, they just said that anything happens then you were just in the wrong place at the wrong time and you can`t worry about what might happen or the terrorists will win.I just feel bad for the EU because i think a lot of the so called migrants are from ISIS.
Dec 07, 2015 @ 05:49:02
Nice to see you! yes we lived through different kind of wars. Countries against each other, regions against each other, not that you can be blown up in the street by a lot of terrorists. I still need a visa and proof of funds and a place to stay if I want to go overseas and because of the color of my skin i would not even be accepted as a boat person.

Well they say trends come and go and come back again… So we can already know the future by having lived the past… Or something like that! I see in the future that you will have a beautiful 2016 xx

Only saw your comment now.
20106 started off not too good, my husband fell off the roof and spent 3 weeks in hospital, one of these in ICU. He is on the mend now but i have to do the nursing and the driving…..and it seems I am attracted to potholes. S A roads are littered with them
Apr 16, 2016 @ 02:30:51
So sorry to hear about your husband, my friend… He is lucky to have you (darned potholes indeed!). Let me know if you need a hug –>> I’ll gladly give you one and make us a cup of tea 🙂
Apr 26, 2016 @ 06:15:53
Things are improving just been to cape Town for 10 days but I can always do with a hug and tea
Apr 26, 2016 @ 18:27:45
OH I hope you had a nice vacation. I am sending a fresh hug now and let’s sit for a cup of tea. Care for a cookie too? 🙂
Mar 30, 2016 @ 09:27:39
Miss you Fletch. What are you up to? ♥
Mar 30, 2016 @ 10:54:39
Ha what you up to???
Had some k## and drama here as husband fell off the roof and landed in hospital for 3 weeks one of which in ICU. So yes not much fun. I have to drive him around now till probably next week but I receive free driving instructions in return (sic). My nursing skills have improved somewhat but I would still fail miserably.
Mar 30, 2016 @ 12:27:11
Oh no! Now that is k## and drama for sure and I am very sorry to hear that Fletch! I am just glad he is okay and doing better and I know what you mean. It’s definitely no fun and of course we both know that men can really be little babies if they want to. LOL!
hahaha! Free driving instructions! So glad it’s not me. I would most likely drive into the mountain just to get rid of my instructor then. 😆
I am also not good in the nursing skill department, unless it’s an animal. Guess our men are lucky we do love animals. 😈
Take care and it was good to hear from you. Please keep in touch. Miss you. 😀
Mar 30, 2016 @ 12:53:18
Thanks Sonel. Life can change in the blink of an eye that’s for sure. xxx
Mar 30, 2016 @ 12:57:07
That is a fact Fletch. I am just glad you are okay as well and that your hubby is mending. Remember to take care of yourself as well, okay? 😀
Mar 30, 2016 @ 13:39:19
Thanks I am fine and I don’t get onto roofs anyway.:)
But a nice thing was that my daughter took me to Amsterdam in December, she went to some congress and I went to the museums which I have not done in years. Good memories seem to carry one through the hard times does it not?
Mar 30, 2016 @ 14:12:43
That’s good! Don’t! 😆
That was so awesome of her Fletch! I am sure you enjoyed it very much. Did you take photos? You know I only do the virtual travelling kind, so why not post some if you have any, please?
That is a fact for sure. 😀
Mar 30, 2016 @ 14:42:47
I really do not have any nice photos, have a couple of the 2 of us but that is a no no for the blogs. I do not know your real name so i cannot contact you on Fb either, not that I am a FB fan. It was grey, grey, grey and rainy but not cold at all, not like the Amsterdam in summer with the blue skies and the beautiful trees and flowers..My daughter was there again earlier in March but although the skies were blue it was windy and icy cold and generally very unpleasant weather wise. Autumn would be the best time like here. I would have loved to take photos in the van Gogh museum but that is not allowed. And to be honest that was the highlight of Amsterdam for me this time round. But for somebody like you you would have found a lot to photograph, I do not have the artist’s eye although I can appreciate beauty
May 03, 2016 @ 10:30:47
Heyyyy! Long time no see! How are you Mel? How is 2016 treating you? Oh and by the way, awesome post, I must have seen each pic change for over 10 times 🙂
May 03, 2016 @ 12:42:57
Are you back?
20116 just got better. Hope you are well in body and soul
May 03, 2016 @ 13:07:50
