And I hope they leave them be. It would be criminal to interfere.

It is brilliant that they could have survived without us knowing. 😋

Fascinating, Mel. I wonder how many people of the world there are who still live relatively remotely? I would imagine there may be quite a few. It was only a few years back that some tribesmen were found in Papua New Guinea. Some tribes living with little to no contact with local authorities.
They were fantastic images and video.. 🙂

I wonder too, and maybe they are all fortunate being saved from this world we live in now.

Whether those people should be brought into the 21st Century is a hard question with many pro’s and con’s and a question to which I do not claim to have an answer. They should/would surely want to have a say in this?
It may appear to us an idyllic way of life, but how many of us would want to return to a primitive hunter-gatherer way of life? I for one would not want to be deprived of travel, literature (I’ve just read the wonderful “A God in Ruins” by Kate Atkinson), movies, art, my car, electric light at night, medical care, etc., etc.
I’m sure they would jump at the opportunity to join us but it’s likely that they will just become shack dwellers! But wouldn’t they prefer even that?

I know these people who developed in isolation have no resistance to our diseases and even though it would be interesting to study them contact may well destroy them.

Definitely one of the con’s!

PS. I am somewhat disturbed by the voyeuristic peeping at those people from a helicopter and from some hidden vantage point. They are not zoo animals.

I agree with you. You know what one does not have you don’t miss so best we leave them be.

You and I know there will soon be a Christian group trying to save their heathen souls

So true, it makes me quite sad that I have so little empathy for some humans.
